It’s hard to admit, but I only discovered the Scottish band Biffy Clyro by accident when I was browsing through the sales at an online record store. Bought their fourth (!) album Puzzle for a mere 5 Euro’s. But I’ve been playing it ever since (for months and months now). Gets better each time you hear the record. Found this BBC video on YouTube. Although this posting is a bit out of my league of my regular software development writings, I feel that Biffy should be discovered by many are. So check out this vid.

Hoe dingen veranderen. Toen ik een jaar of achttien was, let je vader me jazz horen, Stan Getz, Gerry Mulligan en, onder nog veel meer, Miles Davis.
Bijboorbeeld in, denk ik altijd, januari 1967, toen jij net geboren was en met je moeder nog gehospitaliseerd was.
Gister was je vader hier, in Geervlet. Hij wees me op je site. En ik klikte muziek. En kreeg die Schoten. Toch weer anders dan Jo Cullum’s Bagpipe # 7 – hoewel je daarop beter The Highland Fling kunt dansen.
